Privacy in a nutshell: The text you type into the converter is processed entirely in your browser by the Web Speech API and is never sent to our servers. The website itself does use a small number of third-party services (analytics, advertising, fonts) that may set cookies, which are described below.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TextIntoAudio.com ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit the website or use our browser-based text-to-speech tool (the "Service"). It covers what we collect, what we don't, how cookies and third-party services like Google Analytics and Google AdSense are used, and the rights you have under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA).

2. Information We Do Not Collect

TextIntoAudio.com is built to keep your content on your device:

  • Text content: Anything you type into the converter is read by your browser's local Web Speech API. It is not transmitted to us, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties.
  • Generated audio: Speech is played out through your operating system. We have no copy of any audio you produce.
  • Accounts: There is no sign-up, login, or user profile. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details.

3. Information That May Be Collected Automatically

3.1 Server and request data

Our hosting provider may log standard request data — IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, requested path, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not linked to any user identity.

3.2 Analytics

We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-B97G0WPRXB) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — for example, which pages are visited, what country traffic comes from, and how visitors move through the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and may process technical information including IP address (which Google typically truncates), device type, browser, language, and approximate location. We do not use Google Analytics features that build cross-site advertising profiles, and we do not upload personal identifiers to it.

3.3 Advertising — Google AdSense

This site participates in Google AdSense, Google's advertising network. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick "DSID" / "IDE" cookies and equivalent identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or, in the EU/EEA, YourOnlineChoices.eu.

For more detail on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and the Google Ads policies.

3.4 Cookies and similar technologies

The full list of cookie categories used on this site — strictly necessary, analytics, advertising, and preferences — is set out on our Cookie Policy page, along with guidance on how to refuse or remove them.

3.5 Fonts

We load typography from Google Fonts. When fonts are requested, Google's font server receives standard request metadata such as your IP address. Google states this data is used only to serve fonts and is not used for advertising; see Google's privacy policy for details.

4. How We Use Information

Information collected automatically is used to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website
  • Understand which content is useful and how to improve it
  • Display and measure advertising via Google AdSense
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with third parties except the service providers described in this policy and as required by law.

5. Legal Bases (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are:

  • Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies, where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests — for operating the website, ensuring security, and preventing abuse.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information.

6. Your Rights

6.1 GDPR / UK GDPR

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request rectification or erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6.2 CCPA / CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise an opt-out for cross-context behavioral advertising, use the Google opt-out links above and your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor.

6.3 How to exercise your rights

Send your request to contact@textintoaudio.com. Because the site does not require accounts, the only personal data we typically hold is contained in server logs and the third-party analytics / advertising cookies described above. We may ask for basic information (such as the approximate date and IP range of your visit) to locate matching records.

7. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for a limited operational period (typically up to 12 months) and then deleted or aggregated. Cookies expire on the timelines documented on our Cookie Policy. We do not retain text you submit to the converter, because we never receive it.

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (notably Google) are based in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA / UK, those providers rely on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is general-audience and not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures — HTTPS, hardened hosting, and limited access to logs — to protect data we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but because the converter itself runs in your browser, the most sensitive content (your text) never leaves your device in the first place.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, third-party services, or applicable law. Updates are posted on this page with a new "Last reviewed" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.

12. Privacy Contact

For privacy questions, rights requests, or complaints, contact contact@textintoaudio.com. We aim to respond within 30 days for GDPR requests and 45 days for CCPA requests, in line with each law.
